Muay Thai/Sparring
Muay Thai
Muay Thai was created as a battlefield art to do extreme damage with elbows and knees. It is a terrifying striking martial art, and perfect for paring with self-defense.
In addition to doing extreme close-quarters damage, Muay Thai also comes with the low kick and devastating ways to take out your opponent’s legs. Punching doesn’t work when someone takes out your legs!
Sparring
We use touch sparring at Evolve. There is no need to go home bruised up, and learning is best when at play. Touch sparring is a technique used by modern MMA competitors to train and gain knowledge without the risk of taking damage.
The act of sparring with a training partner really helps calm the nerves around a physical altercation, and it shows! Our clients that spar with each other have a huge advantage on combinative techniques. From a solid defense to creating openings with combos, sparring really helps solidify your comfort and ability to fight!
